ALL BEAU TYE PRODUCTS ARE FOR COSMETIC PURPOSES ONLY.
Unlike drugs, which are used to treat or prevent disease in the body,
cosmetics do not change or affect the body's structure or functions.
Q- "Are your products safe?"
A- BEAU TYE Products are formulated based on the recommended usage levels as provided by the IFRA, the FDA, and the USDA. They contain natural herbs, botanicals, and minerals in blends that aid in the rejuvenated look and feel of your skin.
Q- "I have sensitive skin, will BEAU TYE products 'break me out?'"
A- Though no two people have the same skin type, our products are generally safe for most skin-types.
BEAU TYE products are carefully monitored, and produced in small batches to ensure the highest quality, and freshness. You should however, pay close attention to the INCL list on products and consider any food or skin allergies that you might have before using any product. BEAU TYE products contain EO (essential oils) and should not be used on infants, or pregnant women. You should always consult your skin-care physician about any questions concerning the use of any of these products before use.
Q- "What is the 'Shelf-Life,' of BEAU TYE products?"
A- All BEAU TYE products use either a natural, artificial preservative, or combination of the two to prevent contamination from bacteria, molds, yeasts, and fungus, and have a minimum shelf-life of 1 (one) year. However, most will last longer. If your product becomes dry, throw it away. Don't add water or, even worse, saliva to moisten it. That will bring bacteria into the product. We recommend storing your BEAU TYE products in a cool, dry place. Cosmetics stored in high heat may go bad faster than the expiration date.
Q- "Are BEAU TYE products regulated by the FDA?"
A- No. However, we do comply with recommended guidelines for usage of all ingredients, and MSDS. All of our products are pH tested to ensure that they are skin compatible, and added fragrances are within the recommended guidelines as suggested by the IFRA.
A cosmetic maker can sell products without FDA approval. FDA does not review or approve cosmetics, or their ingredients, before they are sold to the public. But FDA urges cosmetic makers to do whatever tests are needed to prove their products are safe. Cosmetics makers must put a warning statement on the front labels of products that have not been safety testing, which reads, "WARNING―The safety of this product has not been determined."
FDA does require safety testing for color additives used in cosmetics. Cosmetics may only contain approved and certified colors. You'll find FD&C, D&C, or external D&C listed on cosmetic labels.
- FD&C – color that can be used only in foods, drugs, and cosmetics
- D&C – color that can be used only in drugs and cosmetics
- external D&C – color that can be used only in drugs applied to the surface of the skin and cosmetics
